This is a valuable group of breast cancer survivors who meet monthly at the Wellness House.Support groups can be an important resource for people diagnosed with breast cancer. They play a major role in the recovery process by providing patients with ideas, and coping skills from their own experience, support and advice. Our group also provides information and education (for example, what to expect and tips on how to cope with treatment) for women and men who have been diagnosed. They meet to refresh, fellowship and pray for each other and those going through cancer experience. They share, support each other, and learn about striving to live actively after cancer from presentations by volunteer guests from carreer, churches, medical, diet, nutrition and wellness fields.
To ensure that through advocacy, awareness, education, empowerment, access to treatment support, and research, patients do not face breast cancer fearfully and helplessly alone.
