WHAT'S HAPPENING AT BCIEA

TAKING AWARENESS TO WORKPLACES

At BCIEA, we are committed to taking lifesaving breast cancer awareness and screening services directly to where people spend most of their time—workplaces. Our "Taking Awareness to the Workplaces" program is designed to educate, empower, and provide access to early detection services for employees and communities, all while breaking stigma and fostering proactive health behavior. In 2024 alone, our team reached 1,878 participants across 16 sessions in various workplaces, including factories, corporations, and public institutions. With over 497 individuals screened, our initiative identified six suspicious cases, which were promptly referred for further testing. Partnering with organizations like Skol Brewery, Rwanda Development Board, and Bank of Kigali, we've demonstrated the impact of combining education, screening, and support in professional settings.

By addressing health directly in workplaces, we're not only fostering healthier work environments but also saving lives through early detection and awareness. Join us in expanding this impactful initiative to more workplaces across Rwanda.
